At St. Francis Veterinary Clinic, your health, your pet's health, and the health of our staff are of the utmost importance. To ensure your health, your pet's health, and the health of our staff, we always follow recommended universal precautions in our clinic and boarding facilities. Additionally, we continue to implement our strict disinfecting protocols in the common spaces by increasing the frequency in which it is done. For the protection of all our patients and staff due coronavirus, we are requesting the following: - If you have an illness or are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, or have been recently diagnosed with COVID-19 we ask that you assign another family member to schedule the appointment for your pet especially if your pet is ill.
OPTIONS THAT REMAIN AVAILABLE:
1) Scheduled medical appointments - inside clinic appointment Client is welcome to come inside our clinic at their designated schedule appointment. If you are early, we welcome you to wait in the car, or wait our living room while your room is ready for use. Upon entry, you will be invited to your designated exam room. Our nurse will come to check-in your pet and review the reasons for the visit. Then, the veterinarian will come to do the physical exam on your pet and discuss with you the findings and recommendations. Our nurse will then return, if there are any procedures to be done on your pet you will be asked to wait in the lobby and/or to wait in the exam room while your pet is taken to the treatment area for the appropriate services to be performed. Once all is completed, your will be checked out either in the exam room or our lobby. We prefer for only one person to enter the exam room, a second adult may be present if necessary. We discourage you from bringing your children inside the clinic, a curve-side appointment may be safer for your family in this case. 2) Scheduled medical appointments - curbside appointment
We will continue to offer curbside appointments based on your preference and/or if we are fitting you in for your sick pet (this may happen if the exam rooms are occupied or undergoing the cleaning protocol. You may wait in the parking lot or in our living room – PLEASE PARK IN A PARKING SPOT – PLEASE DO NOT BLOCK THE DRIVEWAY. If you elect to stay in your vehicle, please text or call us upon arrival, we will pick up your pet from the vehicle. Once the physical examination is performed and a plan developed, we will discuss the plan over the phone or TEXT, if you are in our living room our discussions will occur there. Once services are completed, your card will be charged, and we will return your pet back to your vehicle. 3) Scheduled DROP-OFF appointments:
Client is welcome inside our clinic, one of our assistants will take your pet to our treatment area while you fill out the medical form. Please provide as much information as possible and when it is best to reach you. Our nurse may need further information to provide a throughout check-in to our Veterinarians prior to performing their evaluation. They may provide a rough estimate that would be adjusted after the exam is performed. If you believe you may be in a hurry, we welcome you to fill out the appropriate forms ahead of time. REMEMBER, PARKED IN A PARKING SPOT – PLEASE DO NOT BLOCK THE DRIVEWAY. The examination is performed throughout the day, and once performed our nurse will provide the updated plan and findings, a report card and/or discharge instructions will be provided at check-out. The time of day the exam is performed is allotted based on availability and urgency of the evaluation. The time of pick up is designated once the exam and services have all been performed and/or based on when you would be available to pick up. DAY CARE: Client is welcome inside our clinic, one of our assistants will take your pet to our treatment area while you fill out the appropriate drop-off form. A scheduled PICK-UP time will be necessary upon checkin. 4) Scheduled Tele-health appointments:
We are able to provide this service to our established clients/patients, for those that are concerned about a medical situation that is not life-threatening. The service must be scheduled and it will be serviced via a video call. The visit is complemented with written guidelines or discharge instructions for your reference which will be Emailed. We ask that the appointment time is done when you are able to be with your pet. If your pet is behaving abnormal and you are able to do quick recordings, we welcome those via Email at sfvc.info@gmail.com prior to your scheduled appointment.
